  • Operational Oversight: You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of cybersecurity systems, ensuring they operate optimally and align with established Service Level Agreements (SLAs). This includes maintaining system availability, reliability, and performance metrics, which are crucial for minimizing downtime and enhancing user confidence in our security measures.
  • Incident Management: Act as the first line of defence in responding to cybersecurity incidents. This involves quickly diagnosing issues, executing predetermined protocols for resolution, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive incident resolution. You will also be responsible for documenting incidents and tracking performance against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), such as Mean Time to Respond (MTTR) and Mean Time to Resolve (MTTR).
  • Automation and Efficiency: Lead initiatives to identify manual tasks suitable for automation. By leveraging automation tools like UiPath, you will design and implement solutions that streamline operations, reduce human error, and enhance overall productivity. Strong knowledge of scripting or programming languages will be beneficial in this aspect.
  • Technology Integration: Work closely with the Engineering team to integrate advanced cybersecurity technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML), to improve threat detection and predictive analytics. This includes utilizing AI for anomaly detection, behaviour analysis, and automated responses to potential threats.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders: Engage with various stakeholders, including engineering teams, vendors, and business units, to foster a collaborative environment focused on optimizing tool performance and resolving challenges. Your ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders will be essential.
What you will do:
  • Analyse and Resolve Issues: Investigate and resolve technical problems related to cybersecurity technologies and applications. Conduct thorough root cause analyses (RCA) to understand recurring issues and implement permanent solutions to optimize performance and reliability.
  • Incident Response: Participate in incident response activities, promptly addressing and troubleshooting security incidents to minimize impact. Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure a swift and effective response to all cybersecurity threats.
  • Maintain Operational Oversight: Regularly perform health checks and system monitoring on critical cybersecurity applications using tools like Splunk and Dynatrace, ensuring systems are functioning optimally and addressing any anomalies swiftly.
  • Implement and Manage Changes: Oversee the end-to-end change management life cycle, ensuring all changes are documented, communicated, and executed effectively. Collaborate with Change Management and Release Managers to evaluate change requests for production deployment.
  • Conduct Training and Knowledge Sharing: Mentor and train junior team members on cybersecurity processes, tools, and best practices, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Develop Automation Solutions: Identify opportunities for automation within operational workflows, utilizing tools such as UiPath and PowerShell scripts to streamline processes and reduce manual effort, thereby enhancing efficiency.
  • Collaborate on Strategic Initiatives: Work closely with engineering teams to integrate advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML), into cybersecurity operations to improve threat detection capabilities and response strategies.
  • Document Processes and Procedures: Prepare and maintain documentation for standard operating procedures (SOPs), workflows, and training materials, ensuring that best practices are communicated clearly across the organization.
  • Monitor Compliance and Security Posture: Ensure adherence to cybersecurity policies and procedures, conducting regular audits and assessments of systems, applications, and processes to maintain a robust security posture.
  • Provide Regular Reporting: Generate and present reports on operational status, incident response metrics, and performance indicators to stakeholders, supporting informed decision-making at all levels.
What you will need to have:
  • Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2 to 6 years of experience in the cybersecurity domain, with a strong focus on managing and supporting cyber technologies.
  • Technical Proficiency:
  • A deep understanding of at least 3 or more cybersecurity concepts and technologies, including network security tools (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems), cloud security tools (e.g., CASB, IAM), and data protection tools (e.g., encryption, DLP).
  • Familiarity with identity protection tools and methodologies for managing user access and securing sensitive information.
  • Performance Metrics Expertise: Ability to establish and monitor KPIs related to operational effectiveness, incident response, and threat mitigation, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills to diagnose and triage complex cybersecurity challenges efficiently.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with global teams and various stakeholders for status reporting and strategic initiatives.
  • Adaptability: A proactive approach to managing shifting priorities, demonstrating flexibility in the fast-paced cybersecurity landscape, including willingness to participate in after-hours support as needed.
What would be great to have:
