Responsibilities:

THE ROLE:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced

Senior Software Developer

with deep expertise in

modern C++ (C++14/17/20)

and hands-on experience in

Yocto

and

Android build environments

. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing software devetools including software profiler, for next-generation platforms.As a senior member of the team, taking initiative in mentoring to achieve the team's goal of on time delivery is expected.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Drive technical innovation to improve AMD's capabilities across product development and validation, including software tools and script development, technical and procedural methodology enhancement, and various internal and cross-functional initiatives. Convert feature specifications into test cases (manual and automated) that will cover several types of testing - boundary, negative, functional, etc. Work with multiple teams and tracking test execution to make sure all features are validated and optimized on time. Work closely with supporting technical teams to validate new software features and new OS (Operating System) introduction. Lead collaborative approaches with multiple teams. Mentor others to achieve integrated projects.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

5-8 years

of professional experience in software development. Expert-level proficiency in

modern C++ (C++14/17/20)

. Good understanding of

Yocto Project

for embedded Linux development. Good understanding of

Android build systems

(AOSP, Gradle, etc.). Understanding of Linux OS internals is an added advantage. Familiarity with cross-compilation, bootloaders, and kernel configuration. Experience with version control systems (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and debugging tools. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

Bachelors or master's degree in electrical or computer engineering. Master's degree preferred.
