Job Overview The GIA Team at CMI works on all syndicated panels of consumer data to help the GMI business teams measure their performance, understand consumer behavior, uncover insights & make a visible business impact. The candidate is expected to: . Deep understanding of CPG industry business performance outputs and causal measures, their relationships, and how to address business questions in robust way that translates to simple outputs. . Very strong analytical thinking with proven ability to connect data & insight from category consumption, brands drivers, macro & micro trends, and future forces of consumer change and deliver clear implications for the business. Proactively brings forward external inspiration and new approaches to insights. . Should be able to articulate how insights/research learning can improve businesses impact and frames up reporting efforts and opportunities to inform business decisions. . Shares detailed analysis/insights/deep dives looking at data through different lenses - penetration, pricing, innovation, opportunity identification, promotion, market study, competitive space, etc. . Experienced in data analysis based on multiple data supplier solutions (Numerator, Nielsen, Kantar) . MUST have in depth knowledge in both POS and HH panel data and should be able to use Nielsen RMS, CPS tools to analyze data. . Should Know how to translate complicated business question to simplified solution . Have strong Communication skills and be a good Story- teller . Have excellent stakeholder management skills . Should be good at collaborating across teams to deliver impactful projects. . Gain in-depth knowledge about the business portfolio and process. Some examples of projects we expect are: - Understanding the Product Performance and derive key driving factors - Determining the potential of new products launched - New Product , Price, Promotion, BTL Analytics Job Responsibilities 90% of Time Operational Responsibilities - Stakeholder management - Probe to understand the underlying Business question from stakeholders and share relevant insights that drives impact to the Business. - Share insights proactively & frequently using the pool of data available. - Gain expertise in using the tools developed in-house. - Analyzing market trends across geographies and provide useful insights to the Business. - Use multiple data sources (POS, Panel, Consumption, Secondary) and synthe this data to draw detailed analysis and insights. - Be able to explore large data sets and proactively make recommendations for an analysis plan and follow-through with the proposed plan. - - Integrate other learning as appropriate - Work on BAUs like category deep dives, competitor analysis, etc. 10% of Time Self-Development - Keep self updated with latest tools & technology - Participate in project related trainings - Make presentations on the right forum Desired Profile Education: Minimum Degree Requirements: Bachelors:Preferred Degree Requirements: Masters: Preferred Major Area of Study- Marketing / Market Research Required Professional Certifications:Preferred Professional Certifications: Master In Business Administration Experience Minimum years of related experience required: 4 years Preferred years of related experience: 4 - 6 years in FMCG, Food (preferably in in developed countries like USA and Europe) Specific Job Experience or Skills Needed - Experienced in data analysis based on multiple data supplier solutions (Euromonitor, Nielsen, Kantar) - MUST be able to use Nielsen RMS, CPS tools to analyze data. - Experienced in connecting multiple research insights into a compelling and easily understandable story. - Ability to synthe large data volumes to get answers. - Project Management - Storytelling Competencies/Behaviors required for job Leading Change - Continually asks him/herself, \'Why do I (or we) do it this way\' - Continuous Improvement mindset - Remains curious despite having developed deep expertise.
