The purpose of this position is to oversee the process and policies surrounding indirect purchase requisitions and purchase order creation. As the subject matter expert, the individual will provide education to end users on purchasing policies and the systems used to facilitate the creation and approval of the purchase orders including the receiving tasks. The individual will be a key contributor in overall operations of the Tradeshift platform and oversee the PR/PO process. The Sr. Purchasing Analyst will assume a wide range of responsibilities and must be flexible. In addition to coaching the outsourced team who assists the business in creating their purchase orders, this person will also be responsible for change management communications for all users when there are changes within the Tradeshift or S/4 system as well as any changes to process or policy. They will also oversee/manage the live chat session with requestors/approvers and other team members as a means both to resolve issues and provide ongoing training to users.
Prepare and analyze reports, both internal and external, requiring the selection and interpretation of data
Prepare and validate process data to ensure Indirect Purchasing is operating and functioning properly
GRIR analysis and oversight
Work with P2P Manager and Tradeshift team for OCM communications.
Manage Procurement Assistants and the PR/PO team
Rollout and manage the Live Chat session for internal support
Program testing and Tradeshift enhancements/support
Trouble shooting of various Purchasing functions
Address S4 systems issues, test, and implement accordingly.
Write and maintain adequate documentation to support and describe current work processes
Provide support within the team as needed to meet work deadlines
Identify and implement process improvements including simplification and automation goals
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (5+ years of combined college education and work experience may be substituted for a degree)
Strong analytical skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Minimum 3 years of accounting or purchasing experience
Strong computer literacy with MS Office products, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Experience in previous purchasing role/AP/GRIR
Experience/comfortable working with external partners
Proactive doesnt hesitate to follow up and follows through on goals/commitments
Able to juggle multiple tasks which includes ability to prioritize and communicate
Can hold people accountable, give clear direction with deadlines
