Understand and analyze business requirements and functional specifications related to P&C insurance workflows (quote, bind, endorse, renew, cancel, reinstate, etc.).
Develop comprehensive test plans, test scenarios, and test cases for policy administration systems.
Perform functional, integration, regression, and system testing for web and backend applications.
Execute manual and automated test scripts, log defects, and track them to closure.
Collaborate closely with business analysts, developers, and product owners to ensure proper test coverage and alignment with business needs.
Participate in UAT support and defect triage meetings with business stakeholders.
Ensure traceability of test cases to requirements.
Provide timely and accurate testing status updates to project teams and leadership.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
4 to 8 years
of experience in QA/testing with a strong focus on
Property & Casualty insurance domain
.
Solid understanding of
Insurance Policy Administration Systems
(Integral, Guidewire, Duck Creek, or other relevant platforms).
Experience testing P&C insurance lifecycle processes (underwriting, rating, billing, claims integration, etc.).
Strong experience in writing and executing
manual test cases
.
Familiarity with
automation tools
like Selenium, UFT, or similar is a plus.
Experience using
Test Management tools
such as JIRA, HP ALM, Zephyr, or TestRail.
Understanding of REST/SOAP API testing using tools like Postman or SoapUI.
Excellent analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Knowledge of SQL and ability to query relational databases for test validation.
ISTQB certification or similar is a plus.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
