Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of work or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
Experience
2+ years of progressive work-related experience in accounting and finance.
Technical Skills and Knowledge
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Good understanding of accounting principles with the ability to apply them effectively within the organisation
Familiarity with accounting systems such as PeopleSoft and/or Essbase is preferred; proficient in Microsoft Office
Awareness of key policies and their impact on accounting processes

Flexible to work in multiple shifts as per requirement and in alignment with organizational policies.
Owns Decision Making Responsibilities (Decision Rights)
Interpret and journalise requests
Support finance initiatives to streamline and improve day to day activities
Identify and resolve discrepancies in the fixed asset register or between the GL and sub-ledger
Assess whether costs meet capitalization criteria based on accounting standards and company policy
Determine correct asset categorization, useful life, and depreciation methods for new assets
Suggest improvements or automation opportunities in the fixed asset accounting process
