JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a Full-stack Specialist, responsible for the development and maintenance of in-house applications. You will be working alongside and managing other Engineers and Developers working on different layers of the Applications. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and the creation of quality products is essential.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy

Develop and implement software development strategies aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.

Drive innovation and continuous improvement in software development practices.

Ensure the adoption of best practices and emerging technologies in the banking domain.

Business

Collaborate with hive key stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Ensure that software solutions meet business needs and deliver value to the organization.

Support business growth by developing scalable and robust software applications.

Processes

Align to processes and methodologies following the hive/chapter.

Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation throughout the development process.

Risk Management

Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Implement robust testing and quality assurance processes to deliver error-free software.

Governance

Practice coding standards, development guidelines, and best practices defined in the chapter.

Ensure that all software development activities are aligned with the organization's governance framework.

Monitor and report on the progress of software development projects to senior management.

Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate, and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Key Stakeholders

Our stakeholders include Product Owners (PO), Ops team, Business Partners, Engineering Lead (EL), Sub Domain Tech Leads (SDTL), Chapter Leads (CL), ICS, Production Support Teams, Process & Audit Teams, Integration Team, and Surround Interfacing Systems, such as upstream and downstream teams.

Qualification

Qualification: Bachelor's or Master's Degree

Experience: 2 to 5 years

Skill: Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Skills

Preference: Relevant Skills Certifications

Role Specific Technical Competencies

Enterprise Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, ReST API, JPA, Model Driven Development, Test Driven Development, Maven, Gradle, Unit Testing frameworks (JUnit)

RDBMS, NoSQL

Microservices architecture, ReST API design and Development.

DevOps: git, ADO, Ansible, Docker, Code review and scans

Container technologies: K8S, Helm

Cloud technologies: AWS

Front-end development, JavaScript, ReactJS, HTML, CSS, Lit framework, SPA
