This role will be responsible for driving operational metrics and KPIs for IA engineering teams which include but not restricted to NPI program performance, revenue tracking for India-accountable New Product Introductions (NPIs). Apart from operational reporting and KPI tracking, this role will also be involved in planning and leading organization initiatives & strategic change management across IA India teams. You will use your technical experience and skills to guide teams in deployment of operational & strategic improvements which drive NPI efficiency and streamline processes as needed by a world-class organization. As such, the person must possess technical skills and demonstrate business acumen.
Key Responsibilities:
Meticulous planning, executing to the plan by rigorous tracking to meet all key milestone dates
Learn and able to report project and business metrics ( Earned value management metrics (CPI, SPI, EV).
Effective management of all stakeholders
+ Provide accurate and timely project status information, milestones and metrics to key stakeholders
Ensure programs/projects/tasks are delivered on time and that they meet financial, performance, quality and reliability goals
Manage communications within team to meet program objectives
Collaborate with cross-functional/global teams effectively to meet program objective
Essential PM skills:
Working knowledge of NPI Development Process is preferred
Ability to set judicious expectations and manage them with key stakeholders
Ability to understand whole system/business perspective, identify and early escalation of risks at the right time
Ability to quickly assess unclear, complex, and ambiguous situations and reduce into distinct, clear, timely, and stable direction for the development team.
Good knowledge on basic PM areas like Cost, Time, Risk and vendor management
Experience in usage of Microsoft project/any other scheduling tools would be added advantage
Experience with Agile methodology would be added advantage
Qualification & Experience:
Bachelors / Masters Degree in Engineering
PMP/SAFe Certified would be an added advantage or willingness to complete the certification within 1-2 yrs
10-12 Yrs experience in New Product Development and at least 5-7 years leading projects/ leading design ownership (preferably experienced in HW projects).
Experience in Sensor development would be added advantage (Industrial, Healthcare, Aerospace and Transportation)
Lean Six Sigma process experience would be an added advantage

Exercise clear and concise verbal and written communication skills in different operating environments

Fast learning curve to absorb the domain knowledge/ PM skill areas.
Knowledge of portfolio management tools like Accolade would be added advantage
