is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the organization, ensuring accuracy in accounting, regulatory compliance, and timely reporting. This role plays a pivotal part in strategic planning, budgeting, and leading the accounts team to support business growth and financial health.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations of the accounting department, general ledger, bank reconciliations, and tax compliance.
Prepare, analyze, and present financial reports and statements in accordance with applicable regulations and company policies.
Lead month-end and year-end close processes and ensure accurate and timely reporting.
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
Ensure compliance with statutory law and financial regulations.
Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and financial institutions.
Lead and mentor a team of accountants, providing guidance and support for performance improvement and professional growth.
Provide financial analysis and insights to senior management to support business decisions.
Collaborate with other departments to align financial strategies with overall business goals.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's or MBA preferred).
Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, or CA are highly desirable.
Minimum of
7-10 years
of progressive experience in accounting or finance, with at least
3 years in a managerial or supervisory role
.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
