About the Role

We are seeking a meticulous

Senior Accountant

to support and enhance our backend finance operations. The ideal candidate will manage day-to-day accounting activities, ensure adherence to GCC regulatory standards, and provide leadership to junior team members to uphold high-quality financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the end-to-end accounting cycle, including general ledger upkeep, account reconciliations, and month-end closing activities. Prepare, review, and finalize financial statements, tax returns, and statutory reports in compliance with GCC VAT and other applicable regulations. Oversee foreign-currency transactions, perform exchange-rate adjustments, and ensure accurate fund repatriation. Lead, mentor, and evaluate junior accountants, promoting accuracy, accountability, and continual professional development. Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners to address queries and optimize workflows. Identify operational gaps and implement best-practice internal controls to enhance the accuracy and reliability of financial reporting.

Required Qualifications

Minimum of 4 years' accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory capacity. Hands-on experience with GCC accounting standards and regulatory requirements (UAE, Saudi Arabia, or Qatar). Strong expertise in foreign-currency accounting and GCC VAT compliance. Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate a small team. Solid working knowledge of IFRS/Ind AS and relevant local GAAP. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP) and advanced Excel capabilities.
