Maintain daily accounting books (Cash, Bank, Ledger, Journals).
Perform monthly closing activities & prepare P&L, Balance Sheet, and financial reports.
Reconcile bank accounts, student fee ledgers, and vendor accounts.
Prepare MIS reports for management decision-making.
Student Fee Management
Manage student fee collection, invoicing, receipts, refunds & concessions.
Monitor outstanding fee dues and send follow-ups/notifications.
Maintain an accurate record of scholarships, grants, and waivers.
Budgeting & Cost Control
Assist in annual budgeting & forecasting.
Track institutional expenses vs. budget & highlight variances.
Support cost-saving initiatives and financial planning.
Payroll & Statutory Compliance
Process monthly payroll for teaching & non-teaching staff.
Ensure compliance with PF, ESI, TDS, GST, Professional Tax, etc.
Maintain staff salary registers, leave encashment, gratuity records.
Vendor & Procurement Accounting
Handle payment processing to suppliers, contractors & service providers.
Verify purchase orders, bills, quotations & statutory documents.
Maintain accurate vendor ledger and TDS deductions.
Audit Coordination
Ensure books are audit-ready at all times.
Support internal, statutory, and government audits.
Maintain financial records as per education board/government requirements.
Asset & Inventory Management
Maintain records of school property, lab equipment, furniture, buses, etc.
Support fixed asset verification and depreciation calculation.
Track uniform/books/stationery stock where applicable.
ERP / Accounting Software
Operate educational ERP or accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, School ERP, etc.)
Ensure data backup, accuracy, and digital record maintenance.
