The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing end-to-end accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial records, statutory compliance, and timely reporting. The role requires strong expertise in accounting standards, taxation, and financial controls.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage complete books of accounts including GL, AP, AR, and fixed assets
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing
Handle GST compliance including returns, reconciliations, and audits
Manage TDS, income tax provisions, and statutory filings
Prepare bank reconciliations and cash flow statements
Monitor accounts payable and receivable
Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and banks
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies
Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Maintain proper documentation for internal and external audits
Supervise and guide junior accounting staff
Required Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards
Expertise in GST, TDS, and statutory compliances
Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, ERP systems)
Advanced MS Excel skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Good communication and coordination skills
Educational Qualification:
B.Com / M.Com in Accounting or Finance
CA Inter / CA (preferred but not mandatory)
Experience:
1-5 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance
Experience in handling audits and statutory compliance
