The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing the company's financial accounting, monitoring systems, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. The role includes overseeing daily accounting operations, preparing financial statements, maintaining compliance with statutory regulations, and supporting audits.
Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow).
Ensure timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
Analyze financial data and present reports to management.
Handle consolidation of accounts (if applicable).
2. Accounts Payable & Receivable
Oversee the AP/AR function, ensure timely vendor payments and customer collections.
Review invoices, credit notes, and payment vouchers.
Reconcile customer and vendor ledgers regularly.
3. General Ledger & Reconciliation
Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure accuracy.
Perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.
Monitor accruals, prepayments, and depreciation entries.
4. Taxation & Compliance
Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF/ESIC (if applicable).
Prepare and file monthly/quarterly/annual statutory returns.
Handle assessments and queries from tax authorities.
5. Audit & Financial Controls
Coordinate with internal and external auditors.
Implement and monitor financial controls and accounting standards.
Ensure adherence to company policies and statutory requirements.
6. Payroll & MIS Reporting
Verify payroll inputs and coordinate with HR for salary processing.
Prepare MIS reports, financial analysis, and budgeting support.
Monitor cash flow and working capital.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.
CA Inter / MBA Finance (Prefered).
4-7 years of experience in accounting roles.
Strong knowledge of Tally ERP / Tally Prime, GST, TDS, Banking & Excel.
Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to handle deadlines and work independently with accuracy.
