Job Title: Head - Accounts & Finance

Reporting To: Managing Director

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Accounts & Finance to oversee all financial and accounting operations of our organization. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge in P&L management, financial reporting, statutory compliance, and government schemes/subsidies, along with the ability to lead a team and provide strategic insights to the management.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual Profit & Loss (P&L) statements
Finalize financial statements as per accounting standards and statutory requirements
Handle day-to-day accounting operations, including AP/AR, bank reconciliation, and ledgers
Lead the accounts and finance team, ensuring timely completion of tasks and accuracy in reporting
Submit monthly financial reports and key financial metrics to the management
Coordinate and liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and financial institutions
Research and apply for government subsidies, MSME schemes, industrial loans, and grants relevant to the company
Monitor and ensure compliance with all statutory requirements- GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESI, etc.
Prepare cash flow forecasts, budgeting, and variance analysis
Ensure proper documentation and internal controls are in place
Drive process improvements, automation, and cost control initiatives
Requirements:

Bachelor's/Master's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (CA Inter/MBA Finance preferred)
8-12 years of experience in accounting, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role
Strong knowledge of Tally, MS Excel, GST filings, and financial compliance
Experience in banking, loan documentation, and dealing with government agencies
Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver accurate results under deadlines
*Preferred Qualities:

Experience in manufacturing or trading companies
Hands-on knowledge in subsidy schemes (MSME, Capital Investment, etc.)
Exposure to ERP or accounting automation tools
Knowledge of ROC filings and other corporate governance matters
