Key Responsibilities : GST Compliance and Filing:
Preparation and filing of all GST returns including:
GSTR-1
GSTR-3B
GSTR-9
/
GSTR-9C
Other applicable GST returns as per business nature
Reconciliation of:
GSTR-2B vs Purchase register
GSTR-1 vs GSTR-3B
Books vs GSTR-9
Review and correction of mismatches, if any, to ensure full ITC claim and compliance.
Accounting & Documentation:
Ensure correct GST treatment in books (e.g., intra-state vs inter-state, reverse charge mechanism).
Maintenance of GST-related documentation as per statutory requirements.
Pass necessary journal entries for GST provisions and reversals.
Internal Controls and Process Management:
Ensure timely and accurate filing of GST returns to avoid interest, late fees, and penalties.
Monitor changes in GST law and notify management for proactive compliance.
Assist in audits, assessments, and queries related to GST.
Liaisoning and Coordination:
Coordinate with internal departments (procurement, sales, logistics) for accurate tax treatment.
Liaison with GST consultants, auditors, and tax departments if required.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of
GST law
, rules, and filing processes.
Proficiency in
accounting software
(e.g., Tally ERP, SAP, Zoho, QuickBooks) and
GST portals

Good understanding of
input tax credit (ITC) rules
and compliance.
Analytical and problem-solving mindset.
Strong Excel skills - pivot tables, VLOOKUP, reconciliations.
Ability to meet strict deadlines and handle multiple filings.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or related field (B.Com, BBA).
CA Inter / M.Com or equivalent (preferred).
Minimum 2
