Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Finance & Accounts team in Surat. The ideal candidate will manage end-to-end accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain compliance with statutory regulations, and mentor junior staff. This role requires strong analytical skills, hands-on experience with accounting software, and the ability to lead and collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities:

Lead day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations.
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, MIS reports, and management dashboards.

Ensure compliance with Ind AS / GAAP, GST, TDS, and other statutory requirements.

Manage

GST, TDS, and other tax filings, and coordinate with tax advisors.

Supervise and mentor junior accountants; review work and provide technical guidance.
Handle fixed asset accounting, depreciation, and reconciliations.

Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

Coordinate with auditors and ensure timely closure of audits.
Strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and processes.
Liaise with banks, vendors, consultants, and tax authorities on financial matters.
Support Finance Manager / Head of Finance on strategic initiatives and special projects.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field.
CA Inter / Semi-qualified Chartered Accountant / M.Com or equivalent.

3-4 years of progressive experience

in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a senior role.
Strong exposure to statutory compliance (GST, TDS, Income Tax) and audit processes.
Experience in MIS reporting, budgeting, and variance analysis preferred.

Skills:

Accounting software (Tally Prime, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or similar)

Advanced Excel skills

Financial reporting and analysis
Account reconciliation

Regulatory compliance (GST, TDS, Income Tax)

Team supervision and mentoring
Attention to detail and accuracy
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ?30,000.00 - ?35,000.00 per month
