We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the organisation's financial management strategies. Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities-
Responsible for bookkeeping & monthly closure of overall accounting matters.
Knowledge of E-Invoicing, TDS & GST workings
Manage Accounts Receivables & Payables & MIS
Strong reconciliation skills (Bank, Inter company, Inter branch & Other A/cs)
Experience of processing vendor payments
Good conceptual understanding of accounting principles.
Experience of dealing with auditors & providing input data for internal & statutory audits.
Prepare, examine, and analyse financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring timely payments and accurate record-keeping.
Oversee the organisation's utilisation of accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, and other financial management tools.
Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures, including reconciliations and journal entries.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities across departments.
Ensure adherence to organisational policies and external regulatory requirements.
Mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance on best practices and professional development.
Collaborate with external auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation.
Identify opportunities for process improvements within the finance department to enhance efficiency.
Experience
Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role within the financial services sector.
Extensive knowledge of accounting software such as tally.
Strong understanding of financial management principles, including accounts payable, financial reporting, and compliance standards.
Demonstrated ability to mentor or supervise junior team members effectively.
Experience in preparing detailed financial reports for management review.
Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
