Position Overview



We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented

Senior Accountant

to oversee our daily financial operations. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of our financial records, ensuring compliance with local and international accounting standards, and providing management with the data-driven insights needed for strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities



Financial Reporting:

Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, and Cash Flow).

General Ledger Management:

Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, bank reconciliations, and accruals.

Audit & Compliance:

Lead the preparation for internal and external audits. Ensure adherence to GAAP, IFRS, or local statutory requirements.

Taxation:

Manage and ensure timely filing of corporate taxes, VAT/GST, and other regulatory filings.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and monthly variance analysis to track company performance against goals.

Accounts Payable/Receivable:

Provide oversight for AR/AP functions to ensure aging reports are healthy and vendors are paid accurately.

Process Improvement:

Evaluate current accounting systems and workflows to implement more efficient, automated processes.

Mentorship:

Provide guidance and review the work of junior accountants to ensure accuracy and professional development.

Required Qualifications



Education:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

CPA, ACCA, or CA certification is preferred.

Experience:

A minimum of

4 years

of progressive accounting experience (prior experience in a "Big 4" firm or a fast-scaling corporate environment is a plus).

Technical Skills:

Advanced proficiency in

MS Excel

(VLOOKUPs, Macros, Pivot Tables).
Strong hands-on experience with ERP systems like

SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Microsoft Dynamics

. Knowledge of cloud-based accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).

Soft Skills:

Exceptional attention to detail, strong ethical standards, and the ability to communicate complex financial data to non-finance stakeholders.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)



Accuracy and timeliness of month-end closures. Reduction in audit findings/exceptions. Efficiency of the accounts reconciliation process. Quality of financial variance analysis reports.
