Job Title: Senior Accountant

Reports to: Finance Manager/Accounts Manager

Department: Finance/Accounts

Location: [Guwahati]

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing the accounting functions of the organization, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting of financial data.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Statement Preparation:

- Prepare and review financial statements, including Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Account, and Trial Balance.

- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, laws, and regulations.

2. Accounts Payable and Receivable:

- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and receipts.

- Reconcile vendor and customer accounts.

3. Ledger Management:

- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.

- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.

4. Budgeting and Forecasting:

- Assist in budget preparation and forecasting.

- Provide financial analysis and insights to management.

5. Compliance:

- Ensure compliance with tax laws, regulations, and statutory requirements.

- File tax returns and other statutory returns.

6. Audit Support:

- Coordinate with internal and external auditors.

- Provide necessary documentation and support.

7. Process Improvement:

- Identify and implement process improvements in accounting and financial reporting.

8. Team Management:

- Lead and manage a team of accountants.

- Provide guidance, training, and support.

Requirements:

- CA/ICWA or equivalent qualification.

- 8+ years of experience in accounting and finance.

- Experience in managing a team.

- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, laws, and regulations.

- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally,).

- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
