Conduct inspections and testing of mechanical components, equipment, and materials at supplier sites and upon delivery.
Ensure compliance with project specifications, applicable codes (ASME, API, IS, BS, EN), and regulatory standards.
Review and approve inspection reports, stage inspection documentation, and Inspection Release Notes (IRN).
Identify and report non-conformances (NCRs), and coordinate corrective actions with production and suppliers.
Supplier & Project Coordination
Coordinate with suppliers, third-party inspectors, and clients for inspection scheduling and documentation.
Attend pre-award and post-award meetings with vendors and contractors.
Perform shop expediting activities and follow-up actions as required.
Documentation & Auditing
Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, and compliance issues.
Conduct internal audits across departments and support external audits.
Ensure calibration of measuring instruments and tools.
Qualifications & SkillsEducation
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering.
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, fabrication, welding, and rotating equipment.
Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, QAPs, and technical specifications.
Familiarity with inspection tools: calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, CMM, etc.
Knowledge of ISO 9001 and other quality management systems.
