About the role:
As part of the Infrastructure & Cloud Services (ICS) team, you will be providing technical leadership to database administration infrastructure support to a variety of platforms and business lines. May require knowledge of multiple database management systems on one or more operating systems. Primary duties include database software installation, upgrade/patching, performance tuning, troubleshooting, database migrations, as well as database management tooling and automation support.

About the team:

Infrastructure & Cloud Services \xe2\x80\x93 Database is a centralized operational database support team, providing support to all FIS business groups. The team partners closely with application platform teams, focused on operational support of database platforms, that deliver products and services to FIS customers. We are looking for energetic resources, motivated by technology and delivery of exceptional services to our customers

What you will be doing?

In this role you will be responsible for;

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to SQL Server database support team focusing on database infrastructure.

• Analyse and resolve database infrastructure issues and needs as related to design, coding and modification of database infrastructure and tooling

• Other related duties assigned as needed.

What you will need:

• Minimum 7+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience with MS SQL Server
• Knowledge of database utilities on multiple hardware/software platforms using database engines
• Proficient in PowerShell scripting
• Proficient with configuration management and automation (Ansible)
• Proficient with database management tools (Idera, Solarwinds)
• Experience with database backup/recovery tools (DDBoost, Netbackup)
• Proven technical leadership and team mentoring skills
• Excellent customer service skills that build high levels of customer satisfaction for internal and external clients
• Excellent decision making, problem solving, team and time management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization
• Proven project management skills

• Experience with Red Hat Linux
• Experience with unix/linux shell scripting (bash, kshell, cshell, python, perl)
• Experience with Resolve
• Experience working in banking services sector
