Position Overview:

The successful candidate will have strong technical, analytical and requirements gathering skills and will work with global teams spread across offshore, near shore, and onshore.

This position is for a SSIS and DB developer for the FA Comp team.

The team is responsible for maintaining and processing large amounts and volumes of data, all cantered around paying all Morgan Stanley's Financial Advisors correctly.

The team's goal is to continue to renovate and rebuild the system to reduce risk, pay the FAs accurately and thus influence firm strategy.

The candidate would play a senior developer role on the team with the following responsibilities:

• Understanding Business needs and converting them into technical solutions

• Developing ETL SSIS based applications

• Working with a team as a process-oriented person and adhere to the organization's product development standards

• Working with other development groups to understand/gain to the FA Comp processing.

The Right Candidate :

College degree in computer science or related field, or the equivalent in related work experience.

• Collaborate with business partners to continuously improve and innovate.

• Plan projects, understand requirements, refine requirements and functional specifications, create innovative concepts for that teams can deliver high performing solutions with reduced risk profiles.

• Ensure all analytics enhancement needs are captured and monitored for progress, working with the various internal teams and key stakeholders to understand data and reporting needs.

• Influence decisions with key partners, internal teams, senior management, and external partners.

Required Experience: 5 to 8 years

Skill Set:

Primary skills

• Expert in SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) including strong knowledge of all common, and advanced transformations.

• Experience with Teradata, and SQL Server.

• Good PL/SQL skills

• Good understanding of Unix scripting (kshell) and proficient in Unix command line

• Strong data analysis and data quality assessment skills

• Provide technical assistance to other team members

• Excellent communication and written skills

• 5-8 years of experience in development

• Experience with trouble shooting and remediation

• Ability to develop and follow change management processes for consistent and maintainable versions

• Demonstrates expert knowledge of information processing systems and the ability to develop, maintain and support complex software solutions.

• Comfortable with ambiguity, creative thinking and leading change.

• Having good knowledge on Agile process

Good to have skills

• Financial services experience is a plus.
