Hiring for SQL DBA- Bangalore/Chennai
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented SQL Database Administrator (DBA) to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical SQL Server databases, ensuring high levels of availability and security. You will also be involved in planning and development, as well as troubleshooting any issues on behalf of the users.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server databases.
Monitor system performance and ensure database performance, availability, and reliability.
Perform database tuning and optimization using SQL Profiler and other tools.
Develop and maintain database security standards and procedures.
Create and manage database backup and recovery strategies.
Implement and maintain replication, mirroring, clustering, and Always On availability groups.
Perform regular system upgrades, patching, and updates.
Create and manage database documentation, including data dictionaries and architecture diagrams.
Collaborate with development teams to support database design and query optimization.
Troubleshoot and resolve database issues in a timely manner.
Ensure compliance with data governance and data security policies.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
3+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA or similar role.
Strong understanding of database structure, theories, principles, and practices.
Experience with SQL Server versions 2016/2019/2022.
Proficiency in T-SQL and stored procedure development.
Experience with performance tuning and optimization.
Strong knowledge of high availability and disaster recovery (HA/DR) options.
Experience with tools like SQL Profiler, SSMS, RedGate, etc.
Familiarity with Windows Server environments and Active Directory.
