for a 1-year project(can be extendable). The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, optimizing, and supporting SQL Server database solutions, ensuring performance, security, reliability, and smooth operations in a production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain
T-SQL
queries, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views.
Perform
database performance tuning
(query optimization, indexing strategies, execution plan analysis).
Work closely with application teams to support
data integration and application performance
.
Monitor database health, manage alerts, troubleshoot issues, and provide production support.
Implement and manage
backup/restore
, disaster recovery support, and high availability best practices.
Support database deployments, change requests, and release activities (CI/CD support where applicable).
Prepare technical documentation, SOPs, and provide knowledge transfer to stakeholders.
Participate in client discussions and act as onsite technical point-of-contact for DB-related tasks.
Required Skills & Qualifications
5-7 years
of hands-on experience as a SQL Developer / Database Engineer.
Strong expertise in
Microsoft SQL Server
(2016/2017/2019/2022 preferred).
Strong command over
T-SQL
, query optimization, and performance tuning.
Experience with
SSIS / ETL concepts
(preferred) and data migration activities.
Knowledge of
Azure SQL / Azure Database services
and cloud concepts.
Hands-on experience in database administration tasks (monitoring, backup, restore, security).
Mandatory Certifications
Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamentals
Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate
