Summary :

• This position will be part of Metallic - Casting, Forging & Machining cluster - SSP Program and will report to Metallic Steel Commodity Lead & will be based at Greater Noida Plant.
• This position will be responsible for driving all New part development & current product improvement activities for Casting, Forging & Machining Cluster for SSP Program

Job Responsibilities :
\xc2\xb7 Responsible for Casting, Forging & Machining cluster for development of AG & CE (Tractors, Combine Harvester, TLB, Excavators)
\xc2\xb7 New Product development - To perform various activities of Potential Supplier Assessment, Design Reviews, Technical feasibility with suppliers, Supplier Interactions, Development Plans, Technical support to meet project timelines.
\xc2\xb7 Current Product Management - To support Plant quality team in resolving current product issues and improvements.
\xc2\xb7 Planning and undertaking Supplier Improvement plans thru Reactive/ Preventive and Proactive approach.
\xc2\xb7 To interact with peers of various functions like Purchasing, PD, Plant Quality, PDP.
\xc2\xb7 Has to interact on activities like NPD bottlenecks, technical evaluation of suppliers, Current product improvement, support to supply chain bottlenecks etc.
Key Performance Indicators :

• Achieving Key project milestones maintaining all the deliverables of DR /TR conclusion, Program Reviews, Process audits & PPAP approvals.
• To drive improvements for current product by resolving Suppliers Quality related issues. Conducting regular Process audits at suppliers to ensure the Quality of products & Special processes.
• Supporting Purchasing in achieving annual cost budget by participating in evaluation of cost-effective suppliers, resourcing & cost reduction initiatives

Major Challenges :

• Metallic Casting, Forging & Machining Cluster has emerged as a major challenging area for NPD as well as for CPM due to complexity & volume of parts development / changes / varieties & also a very challenging supplier base.
• Thus, this needs to have a highly competitive Supplier Quality person with high level of expertise in this commodity. This position requires having a high level of internal networking and having a good relationship with suppliers for managing and streamlining the activities in this area.

Qualifications/Skills:
\xc2\xb7 B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
\xc2\xb7 7-10 years of work experience in OEM or auto ancillary in Supplier Quality Function. Preference for experience in Ferrous Casting & machining.
\xc2\xb7 Skill sets, both in terms of leadership and functional competencies supported by varied experience.
\xc2\xb7 Should be well versed with Casting & Machining processes, Tooling/ Fixtures Concept & review.
\xc2\xb7 Hands on experience on measuring devices.
New Part development process exposure for Casting as well Machining.
