The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching taekwondo techniques, physical fitness, discipline, and sportsmanship to students across various age groups. The candidate should have experience in coaching, preparing students for competitions, and promoting a healthy and active lifestyle.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and deliver structured taekwondo lessons tailored to students' age and skill levels.
Instruct students in taekwondo forms (poomsae), sparring, self-defense, and breaking techniques.
Promote discipline, respect, focus, and perseverance through taekwondo practice.
Organize, supervise, and prepare students for intra/inter-school taekwondo tournaments.
Ensure safety of students during practice by teaching proper techniques and using protective gear.
Collaborate with the Physical Education department to support overall sports development.
Conduct physical fitness and conditioning sessions aligned with taekwondo training.
Foster an inclusive and motivating learning environment.
Participate in school events, meetings, and workshops as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field (preferred).
Certified Taekwondo instructor (minimum Black Belt 2nd Dan, recognized by a national/international body like Kukkiwon or WT).
Prior experience in teaching or coaching taekwondo to school-age children.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
Ability to inspire and motivate students of all skill levels.
Understanding of child development and sports education best practices.
