A Sports Teacher is also known as PTI (Physical Training Instructor), and their job majorly is to help the students maintain good physical health and stay fit and to teach, train and prepare the students for various sports
The Sports Teachers also contribute to maintaining discipline within the school premises. The other major duties or responsibilities of the Sports Teacher or PTI is to teach, train and prepare the students for various sports, organize sports events/ competitions, and teach students about sports, health, physical development, and nutrition. Sport Teacher also help the students understand the importance and benefits of staying fit, working out, or exercising daily and are responsible for developing engaging-based activities for exercise-based learning.
Teacher Responsibilities:
Plan Sports lessons in line with the CBSE curriculum.
Ensure lessons are differentiated to meet the needs of all students.
Collaborate with the Sports Department in planning a balanced overall physical education program.
Provide appropriate safety instructions and make checks on equipment's and field areas to insure the overall safety of students.
Evaluate each student's growth in physical skills, knowledge and contribution in team sports by giving regular feedback to the Principal.
Maintain control of storage and use of the equipment's and keep a record.
Contribute to the extra-curricular activities programs.
Escort the students for the participation at District, State and National Level Competitions.
Teacher Requirements:
Bachelor of Physical Education (BPEd) with teaching qualification, or equivalent.
Minimum of 2 to 3 years' experience in as Sports teacher role.
Capacity to supervise group work.
Outstanding planning and problem-solving skills.
Supportive, flexible disposition.
Available to work during evenings, on occasion.

The ability to execute lessons with meaning, in a fun, and engaging manner.
