Job Title: Sports Physiotherapist
Location: Sports Injury and Performance Centre
Role Overview:
As a Sports Physiotherapist at our Sports Injury and Performance Centre, you will play a crucial role in the rehabilitation and performance enhancement of athletes. You will work closely with athletes of all levels to prevent, assess, and treat sports-related injuries, while also focusing on optimizing their physical performance and overall well-being.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Assessment and Diagnosis:
- Conduct thorough assessments of athletes to diagnose injuries and identify areas for improvement in performance.
- Utilize various assessment tools, including movement analysis, strength testing, and range of motion assessment, to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
2. Treatment Planning and Rehabilitation:
- Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each athlete's specific needs and goals.
- Administer evidence-based physiotherapy techniques such as manual therapy, exercise prescription, electrotherapy, and hydrotherapy to aid in rehabilitation.
- Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal recovery and performance enhancement.
3. Injury Prevention and Education:
- Design and implement injury prevention programs, including warm-up routines, stretching exercises, and sport-specific conditioning drills.
- Educate athletes on proper body mechanics, injury prevention strategies, and recovery techniques to minimize the risk of injury during training and competition.
4. Performance Enhancement:
- Collaborate with coaches, trainers, and other healthcare professionals to optimize athletes' physical performance and functional abilities.
- Develop strength and conditioning programs that target specific areas for improvement and enhance athletic performance.
5. Documentation and Communication:
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of assessments, treatments, and progress notes for each athlete.
- Communicate effectively with athletes, coaches, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure coordinated care and progress towards goals.
6. Research and Professional Development:
- Stay abreast of current research, trends, and best practices in sports physiotherapy and related fields.
- Participate in continuing education opportunities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution.
- Current license or registration to practice as a physiotherapist.
- Specialization or certification in sports physiotherapy preferred.
- Experience working with athletes in a sports medicine or performance setting.
- Strong understanding of anatomy, biomechanics, and exercise physiology.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice.
Job Types: Full-time, Fresher, Internship
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
