Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Deputy Head - Sponsorships & Fundraising to strengthen and scale sponsorship and fundraising efforts for our flagship events and initiatives. This role is critical to ensuring financial sustainability and long-term partnerships across industry, startups, investors, and ecosystem stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and execute sponsorship and fundraising strategies for conferences, workshops, and ecosystem programs Identify, approach, and close sponsorship opportunities with pharma, biotech, CROs, CDMOs, vendors, and allied stakeholders Build and manage long-term relationships with sponsors, partners, and donors Design sponsorship decks, value propositions, and customized partnership models Coordinate closely with the event, content, and leadership teams to align sponsorship goals with program objectives Track sponsorship pipelines, commitments, invoicing, and deliverables Represent the organization in industry meetings, events, and networking forums
Qualifications

Mandatory: At least one degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, or a closely related discipline Demonstrated experience in fundraising, sponsorship acquisition, or business development, preferably in life sciences, healthcare, or scientific events Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical and biotechnology ecosystem Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills Ability to work independently and deliver against defined revenue targets Long-term commitment and alignment with the mission of ecosystem building
Preferred Profile

Prior experience working with scientific conferences, industry forums, or innovation platforms Existing network within pharma, biotech, diagnostics, medtech, or life science services Strategic mindset with hands-on execution capability
