Key Responsibilities
Research and identify potential sponsors and partners for our event portfolio (India + global).
Develop compelling sponsorship proposals and packages aligned with event objectives, brand value, and market opportunities.
Negotiate sponsorship contracts and agreements, ensuring favourable terms for both sponsor and company.
Build and nurture strong relationships with existing sponsors and partners, ensuring high satisfaction and retention.
Collaborate with marketing, events operations, content, and digital teams to create activation plans, deliverables, and metrics for sponsor fulfilment.
Monitor and report on sponsorship performance, ROI, deliverables, and impact (including KPIs such as exposure, lead generation, brand visibility).
Manage end-to-end business development processes: lead generation, qualifying prospects, pitching, closing deals, hand-over to delivery teams.
Analyse market trends, competitor sponsorship activities, industry benchmarks in India and globally; identify new market segments and strategic opportunities.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records, sales pipeline, forecasts, and business development dashboards.
Work within budgets and timelines; ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget and to agreed quality standards.
Participate in relevant industry events, conferences, and networking activities to promote the company's sponsorship offering and build relationships.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Events Management or a related field. MBA preferred.
Proven experience (typically 2-4 years) in sponsorship sales, business development in the events, media, sports or live experiences industry -- ideally with exposure to both Indian and international markets.
Strong track record of closing sponsorship deals and managing partnerships end-to-end.
Excellent negotiation, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and ability to drive growth in new markets.
Comfortable travelling for events, client meetings, and international markets as required.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
