About The Queen's English

We, at the Queen's English, aim to transform the way students in India and wider Asia learn English and make it higher quality, yet more affordable. Our app will let anyone, anywhere, teach and learn great spoken English. Our vision is to transform the lives of a million people in the next 5 years. We have recently closed a seed round led by Peter Thiel's Emergent Ventures. We are experiencing rapid user and revenue growth in our main market of India and our secondary markets (Vietnam, Indonesia) - reaching new markets as well as penetrating tier 1 and tier 2.

About the work from home job/internship

We are looking for an energetic, expressive individual with a passion for teaching.

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Deliver an engaging class where the students would be excited to attend and learn every day
2. Capture data about the students' progress and use it to inform classroom delivery
3. Build rapport with the students and their parents
4. Communicate and celebrate the progress made by students in and out of class
5. Maintain a relationship with students and ensuring they want to continue learning with QE

Skills and other requirements:

Excellent English Communication skills - ability to read and speak fluently with a neutral accent.
Ability to connect with students and build rapport quickly and effectively.
Ability to pick up and learn new technology and pedagogy.
A creative and enthusiastic approach both in and out of the classroom.
Passion for teaching.
Deliver a fun-filled and energetic classroom environment
Two devices - Laptop/PC to screen-share the slides, mobile to download the scripts
Good Internet connection with power back-up

Note: We have the following teaching slots: 4:30 pm, 6:00 pm, 7:30 pm, 8:30 pm and we have classes running on Monday, Wednesday, Friday - 4:30, 6:00, and 7:30, 8:30 and Saturday and Sunday - 4:30, 6:00, 7:30, 8:30. Weekends - 7:30 pm and 8:30 pm are mandatory slots.
