Job Description

We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Child Speech Therapist to join our multidisciplinary mental health team at our psychiatric hospital in Varanasi. The ideal candidate will have experience in assessing and treating speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in children with various psychological, developmental, and neurological conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in children aged 2-16.

Develop individualized therapy plans tailored to each child's needs, in coordination with psychiatrists, psychologists, and pediatricians.

Use evidence-based practices and age-appropriate therapy techniques.

Work closely with families, caregivers, and educators to support carryover of therapy goals in everyday environments.

Document and maintain accurate patient records, progress notes, and treatment plans.

Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences and contribute to holistic care plans.

Educate parents and staff about communication development and strategies.

Stay updated with the latest research and practices in child speech and language therapy.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech and Language Pathology (BASLP/MASLP).

RCI (Rehabilitation Council of India) registration is mandatory.

Minimum 1-2 years of experience working with children in a clinical, hospital, or school setting (Freshers with strong internships may also be considered).

Experience working with children with developmental disorders, ASD, ADHD, or psychiatric conditions is preferred.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Salary:

Commensurate with qualifications and experience. Negotiable for the right candidate.

Working Hours:

Full-time | 6 days a week | On-site (Varanasi location)
