Sattvanubhava - Child Therapy & Development Centre, Solapur

Employment Type:

Full-Time (On-site)

Salary Range (Recommended Range):

?9,000 - ?13,000 depending on qualification & experience

ROLE PURPOSE

The Speech Therapist will be responsible for assessing and supporting children with speech delay, articulation errors, stammering, language comprehension difficulties, social communication needs, and developmental communication delays.
The therapist will follow structured goals, provide parent training, and work collaboratively with other professionals at the centre.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Assessment Responsibilities



Conduct baseline speech-language assessments Evaluate receptive & expressive language abilities Assess articulation, phonological processes & speech intelligibility Identify oral-motor & auditory processing needs Prepare written evaluation summaries
Assessment examples:
? Developmental Speech Benchmarks
? Receptive-Expressive Checklists
? Language Sample Observation

2. Therapy Responsibilities



Conduct 1-on-1 therapy sessions (30-45 mins) Work on: Speech clarity & articulation Oral-motor strengthening Vocabulary building Language comprehension Sentence formation Fluency (stammering) Social communication Functional communication Use structured therapy tools like:
? Visual prompts
? Repetition & modelling
? Reinforcement
? Auditory feedback

3. Communication Disorders Covered



Therapist must be confident in remediation for:

Speech Delay Articulation errors Vocabulary delay Stammering/Stuttering Autism-related communication needs ADHD-related communication gaps Limited speech output Echolalia Low social reciprocity Mild speech motor limitations

4. Parent Communication



Educate parents on therapy goals & rationale Provide weekly home-based practice plans Demonstrate speech stimulation techniques Maintain respectful, professional boundaries

5. Documentation



Write session notes daily Track monthly progress goals Prepare goal-specific improvement sheets Maintain assessment result files

6. Collaboration & Team Support



Work closely with:
? Occupational Therapists
? Behavioural Therapists
? Special Educators

Focus areas include:

Speech & academic readiness Communication behaviour alignment Social play development
REQUIRED SKILLS

Candidates must demonstrate:
? Good oral communication
? Child-friendly engagement
? Good articulation modelling
? Clarity in instruction giving
? Patience & empathy
? Observational skills
? Basic report writing skills

QUALIFICATIONS

Candidate must have any

one

of the following:

BASLP
MASLP
B.Sc or M.Sc Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology

Internship / training experience in paediatric cases is preferred.

Freshers may apply if confident in handling children.

WORK SCHEDULE

Monday to Saturday
10:30 AM - 6:30 PM
(Structured therapy-based schedule)
