Job Summary:



Avante Facade Consulting is a global consulting firm with offices in North America, Korea, India and Turkey. We are seeking an experienced Specification Writer to support projects throughout the South Asian market. The Specification Writer is responsible for developing detailed technical specifications for facade systems and materials in accordance with project requirements, industry standards, and client expectations. This role requires a deep understanding of facade systems, construction processes, and specification formats such as CSI. Language skills must include fluency in English (verbal and written).

Key Responsibilities:



Prepare comprehensive technical specifications, Bill of Quantities ( BOQ) for facade systems covering various materials such as curtain walls, Stone cladding, Metal cladding, FRP , GFRC , Composite Panels , Glazing systems, etc.) in line with project requirements and local/international standards

Work closely with our facade engineers, architects, and project managers to translate design intent into clear and concise specification documents. Research and evaluate materials, products, and suppliers to ensure compliance with technical, performance, and sustainability criteria. Coordinate with manufacturers and vendors for product data and technical documentation. Ensure consistency and accuracy in all technical documentation. Maintain and update the firm's master specification database/templates. Assist in reviewing contractor/vendor submittals for compliance with specifications. Keep abreast of industry developments, new materials, and changes in codes or standards relevant to facade engineering. Participate in quality assurance and peer review processes.

Required Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Technologies. Minimum 5 years of experience in facade consultancy or architectural specification writing. Strong understanding of facade systems, materials, construction methods, and building codes (e.g., NBC, ASTM, EN, BS, etc.). Proficiency in specification writing software such as MasterSpec, or equivalent. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail and a methodical approach to writing and documentation. Familiarity with sustainability standards (LEED, IGBC, etc.) is a plus. Membership or certification with professional bodies like CSI (Construction Specifications Institute) is an advantage.

Preferred Skills:



Knowledge of AutoCad integration with specifications. Understanding of local construction practices and regulatory compliance. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.

Pay: ?60,000.00 - ?80,000.00 per month
