About the Role:



We are looking for an accomplished and visionary

Specialist of Systems Engineering

to lead the design, scaling, and management of our studio's technical infrastructure. This role is critical to the seamless operation of high-performance computing environments that support complex animation pipelines, render workflows, asset management, and cross-site collaboration. You'll lead a team of engineers while remaining hands-on with strategic technical initiatives and architectural planning.

Key Responsibilities:



Strategic Leadership



Define and execute long-term systems architecture strategy aligned with studio growth and creative needs. Partner with Heads of Production Technology, Production, and Creative to ensure system design supports evolving workflow demands. Establish and manage departmental hardware/software lifecycle plans, and capital expenditures.

Infrastructure & Operations



Architect and manage scalable, redundant, high-performance infrastructure: render farms, asset servers, storage, and networking. Design and architect hybrid workflows (e.g., On-prem/Cloud). Drive automation of deployment, monitoring, and configuration management.

Team & Project Management



Lead, mentor, and grow a multidisciplinary team of Systems Engineers and IT specialists. Manage prioritization and resourcing of technical support for production teams across departments and time zones. Ensure 24/7 uptime and proactive incident response for critical systems environments.

Security & Compliance



Oversee cybersecurity practices, access control, and intellectual property protection. Implement studio-wide backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.

Cross-Functional Collaboration



Coordinate with Production Technology, R&D, and Production to ensure infrastructure supports development and creative delivery timelines. Provide input into software licensing for core tech tools and platforms.

Required Skills & Experience:



10+ years

of experience in systems engineering or infrastructure roles, with

5+ years

in a leadership or departmental head position. Proven success designing and scaling

production networks, storage systems, distributed systems

for animation/VFX studios. Deep hands-on knowledge of Linux-based systems and scripting. Expertise with production software stack and license server management. Experience with cloud-native architecture, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and hybrid workflows. Strong understanding of high-throughput storage and media asset pipelines. Excellent communication, team leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:



Experience supporting animation feature films or episodic production environments. Familiarity with global studio or multi-site infrastructure scaling.

Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹150,000.00 per month
