Job Title Specialist, Software Development Engineering What Does a great Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) do at Fiserv The ability to think tactically as well as strategically and to articulate your expectations to a mixed team of engineers, senior level developers and vendor support engineers is critical to the success in this role. In addition to these important skills, it is imperative that you can summarize technical issues relating to software implementation, function, and upgrades and to prepare written and verbal updates to senior level management. This is a hands-on technical role and will resolve all technical issues within lower and upper environments and making recommendation for performance and capacity improvements. Additionally, you will focus using analytical and troubleshooting skills to provide project participation, support continuity, and rotating on-call escalation. You will also lead detection and troubleshooting of issues that affect delivery of services for industry leading Digital Consumer Experience products. Teamwork and creativity are essential to this role. As a go-to point of escalation, you will be challenged with resolving card holder impacting issues in a fast-paced environment. What You Will Do Core competency - Ability to drive SRE activities and Automation, People Management, Business Management, Incident management, Change management, Drive high Platform and Application availability. Role is to lead a team that is playing a dual role of Incident management and SRE during for a very high visibility and mission critical application during follow the Sun model. Efficiently Own and manage different ITIL Service management activities like Incident, change and release activities for mission critical application. Play the role of an Incident Manager and run the bridge, ad drive Incidents to resolution. Motivate team to drive automation to build, operate, monitor, and maintain high availability for mission critical production application. Also, Design, write, and deliver automation to dramatically improve the availability, scalability, and efficiency of our application. Collaborate with other Developers and Engineers to build, evolve, and maintain a scalable continuous build and deployment pipeline using mature CI/CD automation practices. Troubleshoot infrastructure, application issues and work with the development team and SMEs to resolve issues faster. Create, track, drive problem and defects task to closure. Identify possible points of failure in the infrastructure/applications and improve/resolve the identified vulnerability. Conduct code reviews and guide more junior Site Reliability Engineers. Lead, motive and promote ideas that maintain a culture of continuous improvement within the engineering organization. Assess and communicate risks based on product complexity and resource/timeline constraints. Facilitate blame-free root-cause analysis meetings in the event of a production-systems incident and improve our systems and run books. Troubleshoot application-related support requests and escalate as needed. What You Will Need To Have Bachelor\'s degree preferably in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related field Overall, 8- 10 years of experience in which 5 + years of team management experience. 4+ years of Site Reliability Engineering experience. Experienced with modern DevOps engineering practices in BFSI domain Experience working with Linux, Windows and Mainframe Servers and backup technologies. Experience working on monitoring tools like Splunk, Dynatrace, Moogsoft. Ability to analyze and translate requirements and development stories into automation. Experience with Modern scripting language like GO or Python Knowledge automation tool kit like Terra form/Helm Experience with Jenkins for CI/CD pipeline creation and automation Flexible to work in shift or weekend on business demand. What Would Be Nice To Have Working on Incident activities like Disk Expansion/Log removals/Memory upgrades Creating changes like for implementations task like (Infra scope/Certificate renewals/Server Restarts) and alternate Weekend restart for APP and DB Tier.
