Job Title : Business Analyst

What does a successful Business Analyst do at Fiserv?

The Business Systems Analyst works closely with the Delivery team to understand the intent and value of Features and Stories. The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for ensuring the stories are refined and ready for sprint planning. He / She collaborates with Developers and Testers to create acceptance criteria and validates that the acceptance criteria is met.

What you will do:

Collaborates with the Product Owner Team to continually mature the story backlog and ensure the delivery team doesn\xe2\x80\x99t get blocked or surprised.

Writes stories and acceptance criteria.

Researches questions on how the functionality is implemented

Works closely with the testers, tech lead and developers to ensure stories are refined and available for sprint planning.

Understanding of the business needs and wants

Proficiency in conflict resolution and problem-solving techniques

Prioritization skills involving competing interest

Good skills in presentation, facilitation, communication, and negotiation

What you will need to have:

o Work closely with delivery leads, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive projects to successful completion; deliver solutions to market on committed timelines and budgets.

o Work closely with Product Strategy Managers to develop a deep understanding of the product roadmap and vision.

o Work closely with Product Operations team to ensure supportable, scalable, quality product releases.

o Leverage thorough understanding of business and system processes to make recommendations and propose technical/non-technical solutions to meet business requirements.

o Document current state business process ("as is" process map) and future state business process ("to-be" process map).

o Use a variety of industry standard/best practices techniques to elicit requirements from the Business.

o Create Stories, categorize and prioritize business, user and system requirements

o Define necessary and appropriate stories and Acceptance Criteria associated with prioritized Epics and Features, and manage the associated product backlog utilizing the tools (such as JIRA, Confluence) for an online banking product.

o Groom the product backlog in partnership with stakeholders (including Product Strategy Managers) where product vision requires enhancement or change to assigned products and services. Partner with other product managers and cross-functional teams (including risk, legal, engineering, finance, design, marketing, etc.) to identify, document and evaluate product requirements, and ensure adherence to roadmaps and required processes.
