Level 3 Citrix Engineer The Citrix Level 3 engineer will be a key player in designing, implementing, and maintaining Citrix software and application technologies within the Odyssey Group. Level-3 expertise will directly impact the performance, security, and reliability of Odyssey\xe2\x80\x99s Citrix environments. Below are the responsibilities and qualifications for this role:
Responsibilities: 1. Tier 3 Escalation Support: o Serve as the highest level of escalation support for domain technology issues related to Citrix that cannot be resolved by tier one and two server support. o Investigate complex problems, identify root causes, and provide effective solutions. 2. System Diagnosis and Correction: o Identify, diagnose, and rectify issues related to operating systems, software, utilities, and applications within the Citrix environment. o Collaborate with other teams to troubleshoot and resolve critical incidents. 3. Installation and Configuration: o Install, configure, and maintain operating system software and third-party utilities for hardware systems within company operational guidelines. o Ensure proper setup and optimization of Citrix components, including XenApp, XenDesktop, and NetScaler. 4. Performance Optimization: o Monitor and fine-tune Citrix infrastructure to enhance performance, scalability, and user experience. o Implement best practices for load balancing, resource allocation, and session management. 5. Security and Compliance: o Implement security measures to protect Citrix environments from unauthorized access, data breaches, and vulnerabilities. o Stay updated on industry standards and compliance requirements. 6. Documentation and Training: o Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. o Provide training and guidance to junior engineers and support staff. Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Citrix Certified Professional (CCP-V) or Citrix Certified Expert (CCE-V) are highly desirable.
Experience:
o Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in designing, deploying, and managing Citrix environments. o Proficiency in the following (including at the version level) ? Citrix XA/XD v7.x (2203 LTSR) ? Citrix NetScaler v13+ ? Windows Server 2022 ? Windows 10 & 11 ? Microsoft Office 365 stack (including OneDrive & Teams)
Skills:
o Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze and resolve complex issues. o Strong PowerShell scripting for automation. o Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Additional highly desirable skills / knowledge:
o Citrix App Layering o Global Server Load Balancing (GSLB) / ADNS o FSLogix profile technology o Application packaging o AD GPO/GPP configuration o Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) o Microsoft Power Apps
