The Role Responsibilities

Job Role

  • Develop and maintain appropriate policies and procedures which ensure the accounting, management and financial reporting integrity of the trading desks balance sheet and P&L.
  • Develop and execute appropriate procedures for Balance Sheet Reconciliation and Substantiation
Strategy

To ensure that the Product Control responsibilities as a function are met. These include,
  • Timely production of daily TRR reporting across different regions globally. All FM products are in scope and controlled.
  • Timely support of daily C&A exceptions and queries handling.
  • Monitoring of key controls / processes around daily C&A and TRR reports.
  • Contact point for Internal, External Audits and Regulatory Reviews for TRR report.
  • Responsible for Month-end MIS reporting.
  • Ensuring that all controls are followed and reviewed in a timely manner.
  • Liaising with different stakeholders like Middle Office, IT, Operation, External Audit and respective financial controller to timely resolution of the issues.
  • Initiating process changes to drive quality in production and controls.
  • Supporting projects related to enhancing BAU process.
  • Responsible for Month-end MIS reporting.
  • Contact point for Internal, External Audits and Regulatory Reviews for TRR report.
  • Primary contact person for the business and Local Finance teams with regards to queries / issues on controls processes.
Business
  • Support Product Control at the organizational level, keeping in mind the relevance to business strategy.
  • Apply a structured methodology to deliver the project through creation / execution of a plan to support adoption of the changes.
Processes

The main function of this role will be
  • Formulating and reviewing the bank\xe2\x80\x99s valuation policies in accordance to various accounting and regulatory guidelines.
  • C&A reporting and supports daily preparation of TRR report, identification and reporting of TRR exception to Front Office of FM products across the globe.

  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Key Stakeholders
  • Liaising with different stakeholders like Middle Office, IT, Operation, External Audit and respective financial controller to timely resolution of the issues.
  • Regular face off with Traders, Product Control Management, Regional finance team and various internal stakeholders within GFS.
  • Act as a point of reference for team members and internal clients.
  • Manage relationship with internal stakeholders, take regular feedback, anticipate and understand issues and escalate appropriately for timely resolution.
  • Manage strong relationship with support teams (IT, Operations and Risk) and bring synergies by interacting and integrating with cross functional teams.
Our Ideal Candidate
  • Educated to degree level; preferably with a Finance / master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in a quantitative subject.
  • 0 - 3 years of experience preferably working within support functions from Financial Market Operations, Middle Office Control / Market & Reference Data Control / Product Control)
  • Ability to work under constant pressure to tight deadlines and deliver high quality output.
  • Lateral thinker who is a strong team player with ability to work independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels both written (report and guideline writing) and verbally.
  • Analytical and challenging mindset.
