As part of the Global (USA, Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia and Asia Pacific) payroll team, embedded in the HR team, the incumbent is responsible for the payroll input, processing and output of India payroll. She/he works closely with external payroll providers, Business Partners (BP) and Reward & Benefits (R&B) teams as well as global teams in Accounting, Tax and Treasury to ensure correct salary payments and compliance of the payroll with local legislation and tax regulations.
Primary responsibilities / Key result areas
Responsible for full and timely payroll process for the dedicated payroll: from payroll input to salary, tax and social security payments and filings to employees, tax authorities and social security institutions according to local legislation
Responsible for proper tax treatment/implementation of payroll changes provided by the R&B and HR team members
Responsible for monthly payroll bank accounts reconciliation
Coordinates and resolves discrepancies and irregularities in pay with appropriate parties
Lead and manage the process to request reimbursements towards governmental institutions
Supports managers with payroll related General Ledger reporting and cost center accounting
Dealing with payroll queries from various stakeholders (e.g. employees, HR colleagues, managers) including but not limited to ad-hoc reporting and the preparation of pro forma calculations for both regular as well as hypo tax/shadow payroll set ups
Be the HR point of contact and reference person for any related topics mentioned above
Interfaces: support the HR Managers and the R&B managers during salary review process as required; work collaboratively with the Senior Manager, Payroll and HRIS/Analytics team

Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in payroll and/or finance
Payroll experience with ADP
At least 5 years' experience in payroll, preferably in an international environment
Good working knowledge of Indian labor law
Experience with various Indian tax legislation
Experience with international assignment (shadow) pay structures and international tax and social security regulations
Financial regulatory knowledge: knowledge of financial policies and standards preferred
Practical experience with ADP Streamline and SAP SF & HCM software and interfaces is preferred
Fluent in English both spoken and written
