Role Summary
Perform Shift operations of plants to ensure reliability and consistency on the Paint shop production line. It includes Platform Paint booth, Cab paint Booth & Loco paint booth. Supervise and manage shift operations to ensure efficiency and adherence to company standards. Oversee team performance, providing guidance and support to ensure productivity. Monitor and ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.
Job description:

  • Responsible for Control, Coordination and Monitoring of production activities till dispatch to next workstation and meet organizational targets effectively.
  • Planning and organizing production schedules & Assessing resource requirements.
  • Daily Production Meeting - Level1 & Part of level 2. Preparation Monthly /weekly / Daily production Plans in coordination with various departments and run production line smoothly and track the performance.
  • Working in shifts (A / B/ C) only. Must be able to handle Lead team from front.
  • Production tools and equipment calibration status
  • Ensuring that health and safety regulation are met.
  • Continuous Improvement - 5S, Kaizens, HPT & MES. Productivity improvement using MES data & analysis. Time Motion study, Hours Standardization.
  • Thorough understanding of Quality requirements & KPI's which impact product quality. Managing to keep different equipment to clean, wash, strip, sand, remove corrosion, fill dents or otherwise prepare items for application of paint, lacquer coating.
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Over 5 years of experience and a Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum 3-4 years' experience in Automotive/ Locomotive or its ancillary plants.
  • Knowledge to handle different painting equipment's i.e. electrostatic/ spray guns, PMR operations etc.
  • Knowledge and Skill in the preparation and application of paints, stains, and surface preparation materials to a wide variety of surfaces. Knowledge to prepare and apply stencils, computer-generated decals or other decorative items on finished products.
  • Knowledge and skill in hazardous materials handling, application, and disposal.
  • Computer literacy is essential in MS Office (Excel/ Word etc.).
