Our Business Group is a leader in wireless mobility networks and associated services. With more than 3.500 patent families essential for 5G we have a strong 5G portfolio and are a front runner in open and virtualized radio access networks (O-RAN and vRAN).

Your future teams are developing Nokia 3GPP mainstream radio technology products and solutions including cross-technology responsibility (Multi Radio Access Technology). Your unit's main priorities are flawless execution of System programs including Network Management & Optimization and attached services.

What you will learn and contribute to

The candidate would be responsible to handle compliance activity predominantly custom clearance of import and export shipments, which involves monitoring day to day shipments, maintain, submission of data and documentation as per customs rules and regulation. Also, responding on queries raised by customs officials, prioritizing the shipment clearances based on Nokia requirements.

This position will support domestic manufacturing systems through the design, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the Industrial Automation and Controls Systems network and its interfaces to the machine control systems). This position will execute projects to improve these systems and be the subject matter expert to support groups throughout the company.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Administer Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) across Chennai Factory (Nokia) which includes

Design, maintain, and troubleshoot connections between manufacturing equipment and MES to ensure continuous uptime and reliability of information.

Data collection and analysis

Troubleshooting of messaging and communications

Creation of Product Routings for new product variants and setup Manufacturing Operations in MES including resources, BOM etc

Security updates and backups of systems and databases

Archive cancelled production orders

Open shop orders in SAP ME (MES System) * Support communication between IT and OT networks in accordance with industrial standards and corporate guidelines

Administer the backup and revision control for all manufacturing control systems.

Exposure to SMT Operations (Surface Mount Technology) and equipment interfaces like Fuji Flexa, Valor MSS is a definite strength

Should have prior hand's on experience in handling the customs clearance activity with sound knowledge on India Customs Act, Valuation rules, documentation requirement, process and procedures. Follow up for Duty Payment and reconciliation of the same.

Customs clearance activity involves clearance from SEZ, EOU, FTWZ, direct imports etc and should be ready to face challenges if any to process the shipment for custom clearance.

Should have sound knowledge of handling licenses like EPCG, IGCR, MEIS which involves keeping track on all the shipments using these licenses and closing of licenses without any remainders from Statutory Authorities.

Should gain knowledge of the Nokia requirements and should apply his experience to make sure the required procedures and process are followed at the time of customs clearance of import and export shipments.

Should have sound knowledge of applicability of HSN codes based on description and functionality of the products. He should also be able to keep a track of all notifications published by Indian Customs and should be able to take duty exemptions against notification wherever possible.

Should be able to handle multiple activities.

Should have good relationship with the customs officials at the respective ports for speedy customs clearance of our import and export shipments. He should be ready to respond queries raised by the customs officials with the necessary technical write-up's.

Should have Good command on written and spoken English communication.

Your skills and experience

Associate's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Minimum 5 years of experience in modern industrial networking technology (protocols and components)

Minimum 5 years of experience in maintaining and developing MES systems SAP, SAP-ME, Valor MSS (Vmanage)other manufacturing data collection systems.

Experience with relational database design, writing queries, and stored procedures with Microsoft SQL.

Experience with Web Applications and programming languages such as .Net, HTML 5, JavaScript, SQL, API's is a plus.

Good problem solving skills with a focus on resolution of the issue.

Ability to effectively communicate across all levels (verbal and written)

Ability to collaborate and build relationships with third party vendors.

Must be a team player with a strong belief in partnership organization, the benefits of employee involvement, dedicated to high performance, and servicing the customer/client.

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including overtime, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

Minimal out-of-town and overnight travel for training or vendor visits
5%.

Please note this job requires high agility, ability to work flexible hours as factory is 24x7 operations and capability to manage operational pressure and inclination to provide solutions with minimum to maintain business productivity.
