Provide mentorship to team for building knowledge base around Life Safety product lines. Drive the culture of innovation, problem-solving techniques. S(h)e should lead efforts in PreLaunch and ProLaunch projects and develop new product line and new technology. Enrich & foster climate of Innovation, Cost Out to drive growth & accelerate capability development of Talent & Infrastructure. S(he) should possess strong knowledge in DFx and Reliability. Success in this position requires the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment, strong motivation for pursuing project objectives and the ability to learn new techniques and development processes. Job Responsibilities

• Gain understanding of voice of the customer, internal product & business needs to convert them into system requirements.
• Take lead in Management of Build, change & configuration tools like JIRA/bamboo/Bit Bucket/SVN etc. Manage requirements life cycle with close coordination between scrum master, software, hardware, electronics and control team members.
• Connect with platform leads, product strategy & sales teams to gain insights about market & competition to conceptualize systems architecture, perform trade-off studies & down select one for further development & validation.
• Analyze use-cases with appropriate levels of detail, define validation goals & create library of test cases. Collaborate with global product engineering team & perform software testing activities during project execution. Performs technical reviews of test strategy & test framework development.
• Develop an understanding of both technology & product concepts & articulate product test strategy. Ensure quality of delivery in accordance with the plan adhering to the standard practices used in agile/waterfall model. Demonstrates capability in end-to-end validation architecture & solutions for Life Safety product lines as per marketing requirements.
• Leads product testing & technology innovation (Desktop & Web Apps) by understanding product requirements, design & develop test architectures for testing feature enhancements & implementation of world-class high-performance enterprise grade software applications for electrical products using technologies like C# .Net, WPF, Python.
• Practice robust engineering design methods of DFSS and derive test cases and target duty cycles related to application requirements and validate the same through validation team.
• Enrich R D E: drive to build RDE for Life Safety Products to bring more ownership & maturity. Gain Product Ownership: Connects, partners and collaborates with cross functional teams across global locations to drive and own engineering decisions for the entire life cycle of the focused product portfolio.
• Ability to make decisions on new and sustaining product lines towards feature enhancements, maintenance & reduce quality escapes.
• Is able to link to the top-level strategy to be able to mature product and technology roadmaps.
• Suggest & develops re-usable components to look for continuous improvement opportunities. Share knowledge within team & demonstrate flexibility working in parallel on multiple products.
• Train, develop and motivate colleagues on technical aspects demonstrating ‘Right to Left’ thinking (starting with consideration for end user).
• Actively participates in white paper publications, tech talks and external university forums.
• Leverage / Establish capability to leverage local eco system for faster execution and digitalization for products and processes.
• Generate ideas and innovative solutions which will provide competitive edge to business products. Think creatively and come out with new proposals and present them to stakeholders.
• Ensures compliance with CMMI ML3 process and agile ceremonies/work products, Management standards and guidelines.

Qualifications

Requirement:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in engineering in Electronics / E&TC.
• Minimum of 15+ years of experience in Embedded System Development & Validation
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in driving Test Automation at System Level
• Experience technically leading a team through all stages of the product development cycle
• Experience in Hardware in Loop (HIT), Software in Loop (SIT) and EMI/EMC Testing
• Knowledge in Agile Pro/PreLaunch processes, Scrum & Waterfall Model.
• Develops an understanding of both technology and product concepts & is able to articulate product & software design & validation.
• Experience in test object requirements, plan for assembly & finalize test parameters & instrumentation
• Hands on experience in end-to-end product development leveraging DfX methodology
• Engineering technical expertise to solve problems & make design recommendations
• Define system control functions, scenarios, and model system behavior in SysML / UML
• Perform system level DFMEA, Safety Artefacts and submit evidence for functional safety expert review and approval.
• Engages in define, develop, design & validation of smart products.
• Handle Requirement Engineering, change, & configuration management through tools like JIRA/bamboo/Clear Case/Clear Quest etc.
• Object-Oriented Programming, Languages: Matlab, C, C++, Python & associated IDEs (Eclipse, IAR Embedded Workbench, PyCharm)
• Experience in testing Designs like SOA, etc.
• Experience in testing of SOAP/REST, WCF/Web APIs services.
• Model-Based Development and Design
• Knowledge on platform container system such as Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) i.e., Jenkins, GIT, Travis-CI
• Hands-on experience on testing Mobile applications will be added advantage.
• Knowledge of IoT technologies, including cloud processing, like Azure IoT Hub.
• Knowledgeable in leveraging multiple data transit protocols and technologies (MQTT, Rest API, JDBC, etc.)
• Knowledge of Hadoop and MapReduce/Spark or related frameworks
• Suggest and develop re-usable components and looks for continuous improvement opportunities.
• Drive and enhance modular and scalable embedded architecture.
• Share knowledge within the team and demonstrates flexibility working in parallel on multiple assignments/product categories.
• Strong problem solving, creativity and embedded product development skills
• Hands on experience of working in plants, resolving technical issues, driving LEAN, DFSS/DMAIC certified.
• Experience in Design Thinking or human-centered methods to identify & creatively solve customer needs, through a holistic understanding of customer’s problem area.
