The Bay is seeking a highly motivated and energetic Internal Communications Specialist to join our team. If you excel in collaboration, embrace change, and drive innovation, The Bay has an exciting role for you. Reporting to the Director of Internal Communications, as a Communications Specialist, you’re responsible for planning, developing, and implementing effective communications strategies and programs. Exceptional communication and writing skills, corporate communications, and project management experience make a strong Communications Specialist. And your enthusiasm and positive attitude are important qualities too. Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the planning and development of communication strategies and tactics that effectively communicate the vision and goals of strategic initiatives
  • Develop and manage employee engagement campaigns and programs
  • Use innovative communication channels and methodologies to engage and inspire
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies and tactics for continuous improvement
  • Manage internal communications, including but not limited to newsletters, videos, Vlogs, scripts, social and surveys
  • Support corporate events
Qualifications:
  • College diploma in communications or related discipline with 3+ years of experience in a communication setting
  • Strong writing and editing skills; ability to write for a variety of audiences across multiple communication channels/vehicles, including print and online
  • Detailed oriented with excellent organization, project, and time management
  • Vendor management with strong relationship skills
  • Experience in communications and change activities projects
  • Experience working in a deadline-sensitive environment
  • Social media experience is an asset
  • MS Word, Powerpoint, and Excel is an asset
