Title: Specialist - Automation Engineering (HPOO/ HPSA)

Years of experience: 6-9 Years

Location: Pune/Bangalore

Job Purpose Statement

This position is required to perform development on the RES Orchestration and support operational efficiency, lifecycle, cost savings, cost avoidance & production support.

Requirements

1. Hands on experience in:

2. HPOO, HPSA & HPNA

3. Experience in Automation technologies like Puppet Chef and Jenkins.

4. Configuring, Automating and Deploying Chef, Puppet and Ansible for configuration Management to existing Infrastructure.

5. Experience in Waterfall, Agile/Scrum practices.

6. PowerShell, python & VB scripting

7. Hands on experience on REST & SOAP API

8. Good understanding of the database concepts(SQL) and exposure to any database like MySQL / PostgreSQL / SQLite etc.

9. Understands complex requirements, and designs & implements solutions within defined timelines.

10. Produces clean, efficient code based on functionalities & specifications agreed with stakeholders.

11. Recommend and execute improvements.

12. Participate in on-going lifecycle projects.

13. Perform peer code review.

14. Identifying areas for modification in existing programs and subsequently troubleshoot, debug, maintain and upgrade existing software

15. Provide direct operational support on RES & participate during environment outages after normal business hours.

16. Assist on production issues & bug fixes

17. Follow and assist in maintaining detailed documentation including how-to, implementation procedures and any operations required documentation.

18. Training junior users

Technical Competencies (Experience and Knowledge)

Orchestration tools like Ansible along with HPSA & HPNA

Good experience with Ansible Chef and Puppet

PowerShell VB & python scripting

Experience in Shell scripting / bash scripting

Good understanding of the database concepts (SQL) and exposure to any database like MySQL / PostgreSQL / SQLite etc.

Knowledge on OS provisioning and post provisioning activities like file system restores, database restores, agent installs on windows and Unix environments.

Skills and Behavioral Competencies

Possess strong interpersonal skills with excellent oral & written communication skills.

Uses sound judgment to make good decisions based on information gathered and analyzed.
