Job Description

Job Summary This position is responsible for overseeing the analysis, design, programming, debugging, and modification of Enterprise solutions and provides solution guidance and sign-off as part of product delivery as defined by the current SDLC. This position analyzes and investigates applications engineering tasks and prepares architectural requirements, design specifications, analysis, and recommendations

• Experience Required: 5 to 10 years experience. Experience designing solutions for the Retail Industry, preferably Grocery Retail. Retail POS architectures including credit card processing, fraud prevention. Mobile app development (iOS / Android). REST and SOAP based services. Biztalk or SSIS, C#, ASP. Net (WebForms and MVC), IIS 7, Windows servers. Experience with web security (certs, tokens). SOA integrations and design patterns. Design solutions that support highly diverse and distributed systems, across a large geography and many touchpoints.
• Education Desired: Bachelor\'s degree Information Services or related field

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for the execution of the application development and support roadmap
• Define the essential core design features of a project and ensures that the necessary documentation is provided.
• Interact with key personnel to define application strategies, requirements, design, and necessary enhancements to execute the Information Technology Roadmap and to manage the IT lifecycle.
• Use skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures; resolves a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways.
• Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
• Meet with Technical Leads and Development Leads to develop high level solution design.
• Responsible for the sign-off of detailed solution design as designated by the SDLC (System DevelopmentLife Cycle)
• Provide development assistance on complex or challenging software services.
• Participate in the development of proof of concept, pilots and other research and development related to technology.
• Provide feedback to Enterprise on new opportunities for emerging and current technology
