Job Title: Special Educator
Location: Modern School Vaishali, Ghaziabad
Position Type: Full-Time
The school invites applications for a qualified and compassionate Special Educator, as per CBSE norms, to support students with diverse learning needs. The ideal candidate should be trained in inclusive education, capable of conducting assessments, and experienced in developing Individualised Education Plans (IEPs).
Key Responsibilities:
Assessment & Identification
Identify students with learning disabilities, behavioural challenges, or special needs.
Conduct screening, diagnostic assessments, and maintain detailed student records.
Work with teachers to observe classroom behaviour and learning patterns.
IEP Development & Implementation
Prepare Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each child's needs.
Provide one-on-one or small-group remedial sessions.
Track student progress and update IEPs periodically.
Classroom Support & Inclusion
Collaborate with subject teachers to implement inclusive teaching strategies.
Modify lesson plans, assignments, and evaluation methods for students with special needs.
Assist teachers in classroom management and behaviour modification techniques.
Parent & Teacher Coordination
Conduct regular meetings with parents to discuss progress, challenges, and home strategies.
Train and support teachers on inclusive practices, behaviour management, and differentiation.
Prepare reports for PTMs and documentation as required by CBSE.
Administrative & Compliance
Ensure all documentation, reports, and processes are aligned with CBSE Inclusive Education Guidelines*.
Coordinate with school counsellor, management, and external specialists when required.
Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards.
Qualifications (As per CBSE Norms):
B.Ed. in Special Education*
OR
B.Ed. (General) with a one-year Diploma in Special Education*
OR
PG Diploma / Certificatein Special Education recognized by RCI
RCI Registrationis mandatory.
Preferred Experience & Skills:
1-3 years of experience working with children with learning disabilities, ADHD, autism spectrum, or behavioural challenges.
Strong communication skills and empathetic approach.
Ability to handle documentation and maintain detailed student files.
Knowledge of remedial teaching strategies and child psychology.
