Job Title: Occupational Therapist / Special Educator

Job Purpose:
To provide specialized therapeutic and educational support to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), enabling their developmental, academic, functional, and social progress in a structured clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities:
For Occupational Therapist:
Assess sensory integration, fine/gross motor skills, and daily living skills of children with autism.
Develop and implement individualized therapy plans focusing on sensory processing, motor planning, coordination, and self-care skills.
Use evidence-based interventions to enhance attention, behaviour regulation, and participation in daily activities.
Collaborate with speech therapists, psychologists, and educators in multidisciplinary team meetings.
Guide parents and caregivers on home-based activities and assistive tools.
Monitor and document the child's progress and adapt therapy plans accordingly.
For Special Educator:
Conduct developmental and educational assessments to understand the child's learning needs.
Design and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to the cognitive and behavioural needs of children with ASD.
Use structured teaching methods like ABA, task analysis, etc.
Teach functional academics, communication, social skills, and self-help strategies.
Engage families in the educational process and provide regular feedback on progress.
Coordinate with therapists and clinicians for integrated goal setting and implementation.
Qualifications & Skills:
Occupational Therapist:
Bachelor's in occupational therapy with RCI registration.
Special Educator:
B.Ed. in Special Education (ASD) or Diploma in Special Education (Autism/ID), with RCI registration.
Minimum 1-3 years of experience working with children with ASD (preferred).
Strong understanding of autism-specific intervention strategies.
Good communication, observation, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and a child-entered approach.
Work Environment:
Community based setting.
One-on-one and group intervention sessions.
Regular collaboration with families and interdisciplinary teams.

Local language fluency (preferred for community outreach)
