The Special Educator supports students with diverse learning needs by designing individualized programs, delivering targeted instruction, and collaborating with staff and families to ensure inclusive and effective learning.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement
Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
.
Provide
specialized instruction
, modifications, and accommodations.
Conduct ongoing assessments and track student progress.
Work closely with general educators to support
inclusive classroom practices
.
Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding progress and needs.
Implement behavior support strategies to promote positive learning.
Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP/parent meetings.
Qualifications
Bachelor's/Master's degree in
Special Education
.
Valid teaching certification (as per local requirements).
Experience working with children with learning disabilities, ASD, ADHD, or similar needs (preferred).
Skills
Strong understanding of special education strategies and inclusive practices.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Patience, empathy, and ability to individualize instruction.
