We are looking for a committed and compassionate Special Educator cum Student Counselor who can support students with diverse learning needs while also offering emotional and developmental guidance. The ideal candidate will play a key role in fostering an inclusive, supportive, and student-centric school environment.
Key Responsibilities
Special Education Support
Identify learning needs through assessments, classroom observations, and interactions with students.
Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) based on students' strengths and challenges.
Provide one-on-one and small-group intervention for children with special learning needs.
Modify lesson plans, teaching strategies, and classroom activities to support inclusive education.
Collaborate with teachers to integrate accommodations and differentiated instruction in classrooms.
Maintain documentation, progress records, and reports for each child under the special needs program.
Student Counseling
Provide emotional, behavioral, and academic counseling to students as required.
Support students dealing with stress, peer concerns, self-esteem issues, or adjustment challenges.
Conduct counseling sessions using age-appropriate and ethical practices.
Work closely with parents to discuss student progress and provide guidance for home support.
Coordinate with teachers, school leadership, and external professionals when needed.
School Collaboration & Engagement
Conduct awareness sessions and guidance programs for students, teachers, and parents.
Participate in school meetings, case discussions, and multidisciplinary planning.
Promote a safe, inclusive, and empathetic school culture.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Psychology
B.Ed in Special Education (Mandatory)
Minimum 3 years of experience in Special Education and Student Counseling
Excellent communication and English language skills
Strong computer proficiency for documentation and reporting
Experience in a CBSE school will be an added advantage
